The Plaque is set on the front side of the Memorial Cairn, a granite pedestal monument that ,stands in the centre of the Park

The Memorial Cairn with Gold incised lettering on its top records that it was dedicated by the Governor, Sir Ernest Clark, on 17th July 1935, in the presence of descendants of the pioneers of Tasmania who arrived before 1835
